Ohio State Loses to Wisconsin

Hey everyone today I am going to tell you guys the info on the loss of the previously undefeated Ohio state Buckeyes to Wisconsin. Coming into this game Ohio State was 24-0. They were undefeated and wanted to stay that way for the whole season. Wisconsin is a tough opponent though especially at home because they have on of the loudest stadiums in college basketball. Ohio State got a 15 point lead early in the second half and it was looking like they were going to cruise to an easy win over Wisconsin. That is not what happened though as Jordan Taylor a guard for Wisconsin stepped up and picked up the slack of his team scoring four baskets in a row two of them being back to back 3 pointers. As the game went on Wisconsin took the lead but Ohio State came back and was within 3 of Wisconsin. Then Mike Bruesewitz hit a 3 pointer to put Wisconsin ahead by 5 and make the game two possessions. Wisconsin went on to win the game 68-63 with Jordan Taylor scoring 27 points with only 13 shots taken. Wisconsin played a decent game but i think they got a bit lucky with the win because Ohio State just got careless and Jordan Taylor could not miss. If these two teams have a rematch i think Ohio State will come out with the win

Duke Loses to St. Johns

Hey everybody today I am going to tell you about the game where Duke Men's basketball lost to St. Johns. This game was a pretty big upset to Duke. They had been ranked number one until there loss to Florida State but coming into this game they were ranked within the top 10 in the nation. Everyone was expecting Duke to blow St. Johns out of the water because they weren't even a ranked team going into the game. Although by halftime St. Johns had a 46-25 lead over Duke. In previous games Duke had a 40 percent average in the 3 point range. You wouldn't have thought that watching this game. At halftime Duke was only one of thirteen from behind the 3 point line. That's pretty bad considering how highly ranked they were. Going into the second half St. Johns was very confident and ready to win. Duke just did not come to play that night. They committed 11 turnovers which was a season high for them. St. Johns had more heart and desire to win in this game causing turnovers with the full court trap. Overall St. Johns had a great game while Duke did not and they better step up if they want to win back to back championships.

So a few days ago I was talking to my friends about basketball and who their favorite team is and how many points they scored in their last game when this kid came up. I had not heard about him until then so when i got home i looked him up. Once I saw the videos of him playing my jaw dropped. This kid can really play I mean wow. He is 6'4 and he can shoot, dribble, pass, and on top of all that he can dunk! This guy can do it all in the game of basketball. If you did not know he is actually the son of Doc Rivers who is the coach of the Boston Celtics and was a great basketball player. I guess we know who he got his skills from. He is senior this year 2011 and will be playing division one college basketball at the University of Duke. Now that's the only thing i do not really like about this kid. Although Duke is a great school and has a great basketball team so I think Coach K will whip him into shape and make him an even better basketball player than he already is. I don't know about you guys but I am gonna go home and try and practice some of the moves this guy has. I can't wait to see how he does in college ball next year.

Playing hoops

Hey guys I'm back for another update. I just wanted to tell you guys about my game a few weeks ago. The other team had this 6 foot kid who could dunk right and of course i was the guy who had to guard him. So when the game is about to start I am pretty intimidated. We won the tip so I felt relieved that i did not have to guard him on the first possession of the game. So my team sets up and wouldn't you know it i scored the first points on a layup. So now I am feeling pretty good but then of course this kid I am guarding brings the ball up the court and scores. Then my team started to get down by ten points and they just kept scoring and scoring. Then the second half came and I was like alright this is not good, so I told myself that I had to pick up the slack. Then my team started coming back and I kept scoring and scoring but then towards the end of the game their team kicked it into the next gear and started making us get down again. We ended up losing the game but I had a record scoring game for me with 27 points. I was so happy by the end of the game even though we lost i felt like I had played the best that i could.

Ok so this is a ridiculous shot from full court you have to watch this

This is a kid that throws up a ridiculous hook shot. This shot is so crazy. The kid makes both of his free throws right and then the guy gets the ball passed to him and he throws up a desperation shot hardly even looking at the basket. The ball sails down court and perfectly swishes in the basket. This kid has some skills. Then he proceeds to be tackled by his team mates and they just about crush him under the dog pile. The other team was stunned at what had just happened. I could hardly believe it myself. I don't know about you guys but this makes me want to go home and see if I can make that crazy shot on the first attempt. Most of these kind of shots are just luck but to me it looks like this kid knew that the ball was going in the hoop before it even got there. I am curious as to whether he practiced these before the game.I guess he just gets lucky a lot.I think it is pretty cool how their team won in the last few seconds it makes for a really exciting game and these are the type of things that I love when i see them happen. Well that's about it so enjoy the video and go practice some of these crazy shots and see if you can make them.

UNC game

So the UNC Tarheels had a basketball game the other day against Wake Forrest. Of course as would be expected the Tarheels brought home the win. They won 78-64 over the demon deacons at Wake. They had a much larger lead but got a little bit too comfortable with the lead and almost lost it with about 7 minutes left in the second half. The Tarheels didnt give up though and kept playing and won the game. Tyler Zeller had a great game with 18 points and 9 rebounds. Almost a double double. If you couldn't tell before I am a big fan of the Tarheels. The team gave a great effort and rocked the Smith Center. John Henson put up a big game down low. He ended up with a double double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Even though they lost to Duke on Wednesday(which was very disappointing), they have been on a win streak with 2 wins in a row. I don't think we are a championship team this year but i do think that we will make a run for it and get pretty far into the tournament as long as we can rebound, make our shots, and cut down on our turnovers. If we do that we will extend our win streak and maybe bring home the championship this year
